ESKC has three new black belts

Trio make it to black

posted: 21 April 2017

We're delighted to announce three more students have made it to black belt.

Thomas Falls, Mike Stowell and Brian Vernon-Rees have all been awarded their First Dan belts by Sensei Andy Sherry of the Karate Union of Great Britain.

These three have worked incredibly hard to get these belts and their success is richly deserved.

Sensei Grahame Hunter said: "I'm incredibly proud of Mike, Thomas and Brian. They rarely miss a training session, they always give it a 100% and always listen and think about how they can improve."

"Like any karate student, their journeys haven't been straighforward - there's been injury and recovery, set-backs and disappointment along the way - but their determination and perseverance has seen them overcome it all. There's a lesson there for us all."

Now it begins

If you're reading this and thinking "Well done guys! You've made it. You don't have to work hard anymore!" - think again. Black-belt isn't where your karate ends, it's where it begins.
